My name is Maximus Mazar, I’m 36 years old, originally from the vibrant seaside city of Odessa, Ukraine. For over two decades, I lived in Brighton, Sussex (UK) — a place that shaped both my perspective and creativity. I studied and graduated from university there, and spent many years working and exploring the unique rhythm of British coastal life.

Although Brighton’s charm and energy always inspired me, a part of me longed for the warmth and soul of home. Eventually, I returned to my roots in Odessa, the city that first sparked my passion for art, people, and light.

Today, I reside in Cyprus, surrounded by its raw Mediterranean beauty — a perfect setting for what has always been at the core of my life: photography and travel. Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by the way a single frame can capture emotion, silence, and movement all at once. My photography is about feeling — the stillness of a sunset, the expression of a stranger, the mood of a place that can’t quite be put into words.

Over the years, my photographs have been featured and displayed in various locations, from intimate galleries to curated spaces that celebrate travel, light, and design. Each image I take is a small reflection of how I see the world — full of color, depth, and meaning hidden in the simplest moments.

For me, photography isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about telling stories through light — stories of people, places, and the emotions that connect them.

Photography is the stark and vivid poetry of the real world.
